S. A. Jamali & Co., established in 1948 by Mr. Shaukat Ali Jamali, is one of Hyderabad’s oldest and most respected law firms. With a legacy in constitutional and civil law, the firm was revitalized in 2013 by Mr. Muhammad Najeeb Jamali and now operates under a three-partner leadership, advising local and international clients in litigation, corporate, and advisory matters.
Mr. Areeb Ahmed Soomro joined S. A. Jamali & Co. in 2022 and trained under Mr. Najeeb Jamali, ASC gaining hands-on experience in civil, corporate, and criminal litigation. He specializes in property and revenue disputes, contractual disagreements, inheritance and succession, administrative law, family and guardianship matters, rent, employment, and intellectual property law. At the District and High Courts of Sindh, he assists in case filings, legal research, and drafting.
Beyond litigation, Mr. Soomro has contributed to legislative work at the National Assembly of Pakistan. Passionate about legal education, he co-founded the SZABUL Students Council, drafting its constitution, and established the Moot Court Society, where he trained students in research, drafting, and oral advocacy.
He also co-founded Young Solicitors, a platform dedicated to lawyers’ welfare and capacity-building, where he serves as Executive Director. As a Certified Mediation Advocate, he incorporates alternative dispute resolution (ADR) strategies into his practice.
